Benefits

Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Maharaj (Pragji Bhakta, 1829–1897) is the second Aksharbrahman guru of BAPS. A householder devotee (tailor by profession) of Mahuva, Saurashtra, he became the principal disciple of Gunatitanand Swami at Junagadh and was personally entrusted by Gunatitanand Swami as his successor — the unbroken Aksharbrahman parampara. His most famous disciple was Shastriji Maharaj.

✦ Special Note

Per the official BAPS calendar (baps.org). Bhagatji Maharaj's life is the great BAPS proof that aksharbrahman-realisation is open to householders too — not exclusively to renounced sadhus. Read the Bhagatji Charitra (multi-volume biography by Sadhu Iswarcharandas) for inspiring household-devotee instances.
