Benefits

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura (1838–1914) is honoured as the Seventh Goswami — the modern restorer of the Gaudiya Vaishnava sampradaya after a long period of decline. He discovered the Yogapitha at Mayapur, authored over 100 books in Bengali, Sanskrit, and English, predicted the worldwide spread of the Hare Krishna movement, and is the grandfather-acharya of ISKCON (his son was Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakura, Srila Prabhupada's guru).

✦ Special Note

Per the Mayapur Vaishnava Calendar. Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura's prediction in 1885 — 'A time will come when chanters of the Lord's holy name will assemble in every town and village... and the saffron-clad Vaishnavas of India will travel to all parts of the world to preach the holy name' — was fulfilled by his grandson-disciple Srila Prabhupada through ISKCON.
