Anant Chaturdashi — Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturdashi — Lord Vishnu in his Anant (endless, infinite) form is worshipped. The 14-knot Anant-sutra (a sacred yellow/red thread tied 14 times) is worn on the right wrist (men) or left wrist (women), representing the 14 worlds protected by Anant. Also marks the immersion (visarjan) of Ganesh Chaturthi murtis after their 10-day visit.
