Andal Tirunakshatram (Aadi Pooram) — the appearance day of Sri Andal at Srivilliputhur, the only female Azhwar. Tamil month Aadi + Purvaphalguni (Pooram) nakshatra. Held with massive grandeur at Srivilliputhur (her birthplace, where the temple's gopuram is the Tamil Nadu state emblem) and Srirangam (where she became Sri Ranganatha's bride). Tirukalyana Utsavam — Andal's symbolic marriage to Sri Ranganatha — is performed at every Sri Vaishnava home and divya-desam.

Mantra
श्री गोदा देव्यै नमः · वन्दे श्री विष्णुचित्त सुताम्
Sri Goda Devyai Namah · Vande Sri Vishnuchitta Sutam
Salutations to Sri Goda Devi (Andal) — I bow to the daughter of Sri Vishnuchitta (Periyazhwar), found in his tulsi garden as Sri Bhumi Devi's avatar.
How to recite
At Srivilliputhur (Andal's birthplace), Andal's utsava-vigraha is taken in procession through the village in a flower-decked pallaki. Recite the Tiruppavai (30 pasurams) and the Nachiyar Tirumozhi (143 pasurams — Andal's two divine works). Tirukalyana Utsavam (the symbolic marriage of Andal and Sri Ranganatha) is performed at the home or temple sannidhi. Wear and offer fresh tulsi and laburnum garlands.
Benefits
Sri Andal — Goda Devi — is held in the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya as Sri Bhumi Devi (Vishnu's consort) herself, who descended at Srivilliputhur as Periyazhwar's adopted daughter. She is the only female among the 12 Azhwars and the only soul to be wed directly to Sri Ranganatha. Worship on her tirunakshatram (Aadi Pooram — the Purvaphalguni nakshatra in Tamil month Aadi) confers the merit of all Tiruppavai recitation, devotional intimacy with Sri Ranganatha, and her grace for marriage and progeny. Reciting one Tiruppavai pasuram daily is held to grant moksha through her direct intercession.
✦ Special Note
) varies year to year. Srivilliputhur Sri Andal Temple sets the authoritative date. Reciting all 30 Tiruppavai pasurams today is held equal to a year of Margazhi Tiruppavai parayanam. Dates follow the SriVaishnava Calendar of Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam (andavan.org/srivaishnavacalendar/), Tenkalai convention; Vadakalai households may observe Ahobila Mutt Panchangam dates, which can differ by a day on some Ekadashi/Utsav observances.
