The disappearance day of Sri Haridasa Thakura — Bhadra Krishna Pancami — the Namacharya. Born a Muslim, he became Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's most beloved associate and the supreme exemplar of nama-bhajan (chanting of the holy name). His disappearance pastime — Sri Caitanya holding his body and dancing — is one of the most ecstatic and tearful chapters of the Sri Caitanya-caritamrita.

Benefits

Sri Haridasa Thakura is the Namacharya — the supreme exemplar of the chanting of the holy name. He chanted 300,000 names of Krishna daily (192 rounds!) without fail. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu personally bathed his body and danced with him in His arms at the moment of disappearance — declaring 'Today I have lost a great wealth.' His samadhi is at Puri, near the Tota-Gopinath temple.
