Sri Lalita Sasthi — Bhadra Shukla Sasthi — the appearance day of Sri Lalita Devi, the foremost sakhi of Srimati Radharani. Two days before Sri Radhastami. The asta-sakhi — Lalita, Vishakha, Citra, Indulekha, Champaklata, Ranga-devi, Tunga-vidya, and Sudevi — are the inner-circle servants of the divine couple. Lalita is their leader.

How to recite
Read from the Sri Lalitastakam (the eight-verse stotra to Lalita Devi by Sri Rupa Goswami). Offer flowers and sweets to Lalita Devi at your home altar. Sing Vraja bhajans glorifying the asta-sakhis (the eight principal gopis). Chant 16 rounds.
Benefits
Sri Lalita Devi is the foremost of the asta-sakhis (eight principal gopis) of Srimati Radharani. She is the leader of the Vraja-gopis who serve and protect the divine couple Sri Sri Radha-Krishna in the kunjas of Vraja. Her appearance day is two days before Sri Radhastami (Sri Radharani's appearance) — Lalita appears first to prepare the kunja for her divine mistress.
