How to recite
Read from the Mahabharata Tatparya Nirnaya, Bhagavata Tatparya Nirnaya, or the Brahma-sutra Bhashya (Sri Madhva's masterworks). Offer flowers to Sri Krishna at Udupi (or visualise the Udupi Krishna). Chant 16 rounds.
Benefits
Sri Madhvacharya (1238–1317) is the founder-acharya of the Brahma-Madhva sampradaya — the parent line of our Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya parampara. He established Dvaita Vedanta, installed the Sri Krishna deity at Udupi, and authored 37 works systematising pure-Vaishnava Vedanta against the impersonalist interpretations.
✦ Special Note
Per the Mayapur Vaishnava Calendar. Although Sri Madhva established a separate sampradaya, our Gaudiya Vaishnava parampara descends through his line via Sri Madhavendra Puri (the first Gaudiya acharya in the Madhva line). Srila Prabhupada often quoted Sri Madhva's commentaries.
