Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj Jayanti — Vaishakh Vad 12 — the appearance day of the fourth Aksharbrahman guru of BAPS, born in Dhari village, Saurashtra in 1892. Celebrated at every BAPS mandir worldwide with grand abhishek, special katha on his life, and the singing of his beloved kirtans. The 'guru of love' whose pure affection drew thousands of young men into BAPS sadhu life.

How to recite
Visit a BAPS mandir for darshan, katha, and prasad. Read from the Yogi Charitra or the Yogi Vani. Perform Swaminarayan mahamantra jaap. Reflect on Yogiji Maharaj's life-mission — to expand the BAPS satsang beyond Gujarat and to grant initiation (parshad/sadhu diksha) to the first Western devotees and the first generation of educated young men who became the BAPS sadhus of today.
Benefits
Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj (Jnanjivandas Swami, 1892–1971) is the fourth Aksharbrahman guru of BAPS. The successor of Shastriji Maharaj, he expanded BAPS internationally — making the first BAPS overseas tour (1955, 1959, 1961, 1970), founding youth mandals across Gujarat, and granting sadhu diksha to Pramukh Swami Maharaj. His pure love for every devotee made him the 'guru of love'.

Per the official BAPS calendar (baps.org). Yogiji Maharaj is particularly beloved by the BAPS youth — he founded the first BAPS Bal and Yuvak mandals (children's and youth wings) and personally guided generations of young devotees. Visit your nearest BAPS mandir for the morning abhishek; the evening katha typically focuses on his ashirwad to the international satsang.
