Om Shri Channamallikarjuna Devaya Namah

Salutations to Sri Channamallikarjuna — the Lord into whom Akkamahadevi merged

How to recite

Spend the day in Panchakshara mahamantra jaap. Read Akkamahadevi's final-period vacanas at Srisaila. If possible, plan a pilgrimage to Kadali Vana / Srisaila (Andhra Pradesh) where she attained lingaikya at age 25 by merging into the Channamallikarjuna Jyotirlinga. Visit the local Lingayat matha for the remembrance pravachana.

Benefits

Sri Akkamahadevi attained lingaikya at Kadali Vana (the banana-grove forest near Srisaila) at the young age of 25, by merging directly into the Channamallikarjuna Jyotirlinga. The youngest of the great Sharanas to attain lingaikya. Her ~430 vacanas — particularly her later vacanas composed at Srisaila in supreme prema-bhakti — are the foundational woman-spirituality literature of the Sharana corpus.
