Observed at every Lingayat matha and Anubhava Mantapa worldwide with special pravachana on his bedagina vacanas — the deepest riddle-poetry in the Sharana corpus.

Om Shri Guru Allamaprabhu Devaya Namah
Salutations to Sri Guru Allama Prabhu — the master of the empty throne, the supreme jnani-sharana
How to recite
Visit the local Lingayat matha for the special Allama Prabhu Jayanti pravachana. Read selected Vacanas of Allama Prabhu (his bedagina vacanas — riddle-vacanas — are the deepest spiritual literature in the Sharana corpus). Hold and worship the Ishtalinga while chanting Om Namah Shivaya. Reflect on Allama's teaching that the Linga is the inner Self — not an external object.
Benefits
Allama Prabhu (12th century) was the Shunyasimhasanadhipati — the occupant of the 'empty throne' — and the spiritual head of Basavanna's Anubhava Mantapa at Kalyana. His bedagina vacanas (riddle-vacanas) are considered the highest spiritual literature in the Sharana corpus. He represents the supreme jnana (knowledge) aspect of the Lingayat path, complementing Basavanna's bhakti-karma (devotion-action) and Akkamahadevi's prema (love).
✦ Special Note
Per the Kannada Drik Panchang. Allama Prabhu's vacanas use the ankita 'Guheshvara' (the cave-dwelling Lord). His samadhi-place is at Kadali Vana (Srisaila region). Visit your local Lingayat matha (Suttur Math, Murugha Math, Siddhaganga Math, Sirigere Math, etc.) for the special assembly. Dates per the Kannada Drik Panchang (drikpanchang.com, Karnataka reckoning); jayanti/lingaikya days cross-checked with the Suttur Math, Murugha Math (Chitradurga), Rambhapuri Pitha and Kashi Pitha almanacs.
