Salutations to Sri Radha — the supreme bhakti-shakti of Sri Krishna.

How to recite

Observe phalahari fast until midday; offer special bhog and abhisheka of Sri Radha with milk, dahi, ghee and panchamrita; chant Radha-naam through the day. At Puri the special seva is performed in the temple's Lakshmi mandap (Mahalakshmi being a form of Radha in Odia Vaishnava tradition).

Benefits

Radhashtami in Puri tradition emphasises Mahalakshmi-Radha as the eternal consort of Jagannath-Krishna. Observance is said to bring the devotee into Sri Radha's shelter.
