How to recite
Bohag (Rongali) Bihu marks the Assamese New Year on Mesha Sankranti. Ekasharana devotees observe it with Naam-Prasanga at the Satra and Naam-Ghar, offering pitha and laru as prasad to Krishna. Goru Bihu (cattle worship) on day 1, Manuh Bihu (human Bihu — new clothes, elders' blessings) on day 2, and Naam-Prasanga continues through Bohag.
Benefits
Bihu in the Ekasharana framework is both cultural and spiritual — Sankardeva himself composed Bihu-naam (Bihu-related devotional songs). Observance renews the householder's vow of single-refuge devotion to Krishna for the coming year.
